A 24-hour hackathon

We were a team of university students: one designer and three engineers. In 24 hours, we designed and built EggV, winning second place in the Toyota Challenge.

Inspiration

Many consumers don't know much about electric vehicles, and we wanted to bridge the knowledge gap so that more EV owners and potential EV owners will know how to take care of their vehicles and make them last longer. The world is in dire need of widespread EV adoption, and we hope that EggV will make the transition from a fossil-fuel-powered vehicle to an electric vehicle smooth.

What it does

EggV provides a variety of tools to users, including a CO2 tracker to provide information about the user's carbon footprint. On another page of the application, there is a map that shows the number of charging stations in the user's geographical area. The application also shows engine specifications as well as advice for maintaining the car's health.
